Autoresponder - What Is It? Why Use It?

Answer of What, Answer of Why, Autoresponder No Comments »

Dear Affiliate Beginner,

Autoresponder is just a script or service that delivers follow up email message as you schedule it.

There are two kinds of autoresponder:

  1. Web-based autoresponder service. To use it, you must pay monthly fee. For example, Aweber $19.95 per month. Click here to check this service.
  2. Autoresponder software. To use it, you must install in your web server. For example, ARP $195 one-time payment. No monthly fee. Click here to check this software.

I used to use the web-based autoresponder Aweber, it’s easy to use. But I had to pay monthly fee. It’s expensive for the long-term.

So I changed to autoresponder software. After reading the user guide, and a few testing, it become easy to use, too.

It’s up to you, which option you choose.

Now I’ll explain you how we use autoresponder.

First, we write several email messages. For example, message 1 to 20.

Second, we plug these emails to our autoresponder. And schedule like this:

Message #1 - Send immediately.

Message #2 - Send 3 days later after message #1.

Message #3 - Send 3 days later after message #2.

Third, we generate form from autoresponder to put on our web site.

Fourth, each time when a visitor sign up this form, they will get message #1, then message #2, and so on.

Why we use autoresponder?

We use it to build our lists with subscribers and customers.

When we have a list, we can do two things:

1. To send content, and build relationship with subscribers and customers.

2. To send promotion to promote new product or service to our subscribers and customers.

These two things will help us get more sales or repeat business from our subscribers and customers.

To be successful in the long-term, you must build your list.
